In 1945, the 'War of Liberation' broke out as battles raged across China. At that time, the city of Dalian aided by the Soviet Union maintained peace, atleast on the surface. Meanwhile an undercurrent surged, fueled by the Kuomintang reactionaries who watched for their opportunity to destroy the Communist Party's connection with the Soviet Union's Red Army. Our heroine, Gao Daxia, pursued by the enemy for her participation in the 'Anti-Japanese Fire Regiment', is sent back to Dalian by the organization to carry out her new mission.
